The Berkeley Group Head Office has submitted an official application for the mixed development of commercial and residential units at the site M&S White City Site, 54 Wood Lane, Shepherds Bush, London, W12 7RQ. The council of Hammersmith has awarded the subcontract to the application, but a detailed approval is still pending. This mixed funded project will begin construction of the new project on a previously empty land. They will be using development finance to fund this project.

The project will begin development in January 2018, and the entire development will finish construction in a period of 56 months in September 2022. 1 structure, rising as high as 28 storeys, will be erected during the development. A total of 1030 residential units will be featured in the project.

1, 2, 3, and a 4-bedroom house will be developed during this construction. Furthermore, commercial units and retail units will also be a part of the development. The entire site area of the project will be 22.75 Ha. Sustainable Homes awarded this project 4 stars, while BREEAM Rating referred to as “Very Good.” By using development finance in this project, Berkeley homes will have more cash to spread across other projects. Development finance can also help move the loan on to BTL Mortgages without having to pay arrangement fees twice.

Patel Taylor Architects and Boyer Planning will take the roles of the primary architect and the primary planner respectively. St James Group Limited has been chosen as the lead quantity surveyor for the development, whereas Murdoch Wickham will join the project as the lead landscape architect firm.

Hoare Lea and Curtins Consulting Engineers will offer their consultancy services in the fields of mechanical & electrical engineering and structural engineering respectively. Curtins Consulting Engineers will also take on the responsibilities of civil engineering consultancy. Aecom will serve as the lead sustainability consultant for the entire development. The project manager for the development will be St James Group Limited.

The primary contractor for the entire project is The Berkeley Group Head Office. Dunton Environmental Limited has won the subcontracts for foundations and groundwork. The subcontracts for doors, windows and external walls have been won by Skonto Enterprises UK Limited.
