Construction Finance News:-The construction of EXCHANGE SQUARE, BIRMINGHAM – PHASE 1 is taking place. The address of the plot is Masshouse, Plot 7, Exchange Square, Eastside, Birmingham, West Midlands, and B7 4EH. The construction had started in February 2017 and is supposed to finish by October 2019, with a 32 month period. The current finance value of the plot is £70M, and is governed by the Birmingham council.

The total construction site is roughly spread over an area of 4.3326 Ha. The complete construction will give rise to 3 structures. There will be 603 total units that are going to be accommodated, and there will be 26 storeys of the building in total. The funding has been private and it is totally taken care of by HZA.

The main client is Nikal Limited. Stephenson Studio Limited is the main architect with Savills as the planner. TPM Landscape is the landscape architect with Arcadis UK Limited as the quantity surveyor. The Mech. & Electrical engineer is Arup and Curtins Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer. Systra UK is the civil engineer with Arup being the sustainability consultant. Nikal Limited is the project manager as well with McLaren Construction Limited as the bidder. The contractor, the foundations subcontractor and the groundworks subcontractor is Sir Robert McAlpine Limited Head Office with Armac Group as the demolition subcontractor.

MPB Structures Limited is a foundations subcontractor, floors subcontractor, frame subcontractor, stairs subcontractor as well as groundworks subcontractor. Regal Mechanical & Electrical Services Limited is the fire protection subcontractor, M & E subcontractor, plumbing subcontractor, security subcontractor and the heating & ventilation subcontractor. The interior fitting out subcontractor is Walker Modular Limited. NorDan UK Limited is the doors subcontractor, external walls subcontractor and window subcontractor.

The ceiling finishing subcontractor and the wall finishing subcontractor is Taylor Hart Limited. SCS is the ceiling finishing subcontractor, wall finishing subcontractor and the interior fitting out subcontractor. Schindler Limited is the lift subcontractor. The floor finishing subcontractor is Axiom Group limited and the interior fitting out subcontractor and the joinery subcontractor is DP interiors. Dearneside Fabrications Limited is the stairs subcontractor with TOL Decorators as the painting and decorating subcontractor. The construction of EXCHANGE SQUARE, BIRMINGHAM – PHASE 1 is going on smoothly due to the funding of HZA.
