Capital House | Southwark | 119 New Homes
Bilford Limited has submitted a development application for the development of 119 flats and retail units at the site 40-46 Weston Street, Southwark, London, SE1 3QD. The application is still pending a detailed approval. This privately funded Brownfield site project will involve demolition of existing structure, in order to construct new structures. A project of this size will normally use bridging finance until the planning has come through, once they have gained planning development finance will be used.
Once completed, the floor area for this project will cover 222 square meters, while the entire site area will cover 912 square meters. This Brownfield site project will involve the construction of 1 main structure, with 31 storeys above ground, and one storey below the ground level.
Upon finishing, the structure will include 119 residential housing units and 2 parking spaces. Retail cafes, units, associated landscaping and surface car parking will also be featured in this development.
Spparc Architecture will be the lead architect, while Deloitte Real Estate will act as the primary planner for this project. Spparc Architecture will also join the development as the primary landscape architecture firm. Gleeds UK Head Office.
Mechanical and Electrical engineering consultancy and sustainability consultancy for the project will be provided by WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff (Head Office). Robert Bird Group will offer their services of structural engineering consultancy. The project manager for the entire development will be Gleeds UK Head Office.
